Yanqing's ability to get back up after hard times is kinda impressive ngl. Failing while improving is one thing but improving to not fail, and he does both. He fails while Jingliu and he failed to fight Trailblazer (Kafka). Yet, he also improves to not fail, like when he beat Jingliu attack, then later uses it against blade & Dan (IL) (regardless that he lost. He lived, that is shocking enough). There is no shame in failing, never is, but when confronted with overcoming failure or facing death it becomes more stunning. How many can say they looked death in the face and still made the choice to fight? How many have snapped under the pressure of self-failure and a want for righteousness? Yet Yanqing's ability to over come these things is remarkable. This isn't to say other characters haven't done it, they have, BUT THAT is why I wanna talk about Yanqing. For all his lore and ability he isn't show enough love! He had a remarkable character and great potential for character growth! Then there are the ppl weird about him, we don't talk about those ppl :). (flos_deserti, you scare me.)

I like the idea that Cross realised Killer was touchstarved (he didn't have the words for it but he noticed how much Killer would settle down from it) and started giving him very small basic affection. Pat on the back, hand on the shoulder, maybe a quick friendly hug, all things he probably learned through royal guard training and thinks of as normal friend/coworker stuff.

But as they both got more comfortable in the routine of it, Killer started instigating touches and he was not shy about it (like not just leaning into Cross's side during movie night, he looks like he's trying to get into Cross's jacket with him)

And that this more intense affection made Cross realise he might also be just a little bit touchstarved

Thinking about the fact that in s1ep6 when Barry burns Rafe's arm, poor baby probably had to bandage himself up all by himself. It just makes me so sad for no reason because Rafe's always alone and he literally has zero support system. Fun fact I didn't know until I started researching for this: apparently when someone looses an eye, it's possible that the other eye adapts. This is not good in the beginning as the remaining eye stops working for a while (???!). While long term it's not as noticeable (just less field of vision and some problems with depth perception sometimes) it's, uh... interesting :,D

Correct me if I'm wrong about this tho. I did my research, but sometimes there's misinformation out there so don't trust it 100% without checking it first.
